Fitness Intensity Training at The Fit Factory is our innovative version of Circuit Training. It is essentially time under tension resistance training providing both the metabolism boosting and fat burning benefits of cardio and the metabolic and strength benefits of resistance training.

Circuit training stations are generally sequenced in a way to alternate between muscle groups, which allows for adequate recovery between stations. The rest interval between stations is generally 10 to 15 seconds. We keep you moving, we keep your heart rate up according to your level of fitness, and keep you burning calories. We have several strength training machines and workstations, even more than most gyms, which enables the creation of several circuits. This benefit of variability challenges the skills of the participant and keeps them interested from session to session. You will work your aerobic system while simultaneously working on your strength. Since you are constantly progressing through the workout, you will keep your heart rate up and actually reap better results than those mindlessly loging all those miles on the treadmill. You, however, will be constantly stimulating your mind, which will help keep boredom at bay. This means NO MORE BORING WORKOUTS!

Circuit Training can accomplish a number of goals. This training can be used to:
* Effectively drop fat while retaining muscle
* Maintain general fitness
* Workouts accommodating various fitness levels
* Increase strength

Remember, while you can lose fat with diet alone or even diet and cardio together you will be losing fat AND muscle at a ratio of approximately 1 to 1. Your body needs a reason to hold on to the muscle. This can only be accomplished by resistance training. This becomes increasingly important with age as the body will lose muscle much more quickly if the muscle is not being used in a resistance training protocol.
