

The New Year is fast approaching on the heels of two holidays where many commonly over indulge in food, drink, and friendly association. This is the time when you may be thinking about the New Years resolutions. And while spending more time with family and friends is number one on About.com's top ten resolution list, number two is to 'fit in fitness' and number three is 'tame the bulge'! Number two and three respectively are both related to health and losing weight.
Is fitness or losing weight on your list in some shape or form? Will your fitness resolutions be quickly fading efforts or passing ideas? Or might this be the year to set solid goals and make progressing strides to reach them. The evidence is there and clear as day. 'Regular exercise has been associated with more health benefits than anything else known to man. Studies show that it reduces the risk of some cancers, increases longevity, helps achieve and maintain weight loss, enhances mood, lowers blood pressure, and even improves arthritis. In short, exercise keeps you healthy and makes you look and feel better.'
While you may recognize the benefits of an exercise program and some nutritional adjustments, chances are that you had the same New Years resolution last year. So the question arises, 'How can you set real goals and achieve real results?' It is not easy to lose weight and many times it is near impossible to do so on your own. Even if you have all the knowledge and ability there may be one time too many where you lack the motivation or maybe it is the consistency. The best results are realized when you have a good coach who can lead you to victory. This will take away the guess work and all you have to do is show up and execute the game plan.

We are now adding a new group class specifically designed to start you on the right track of losing weight for the NEW YEAR! The Fit Factory Modesto Losers Club will begin December 14th! We will train Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm at The Fit Factory 1314 9th street downtown Modesto. Workouts will include constant movement, but will be adjusted to your fitness level. We will also include a special Modesto Losers Club nutrition plan to get you started on your way to becoming a MODESTO LOSER!
